MAG20 / Classroom – Armed Citizen’s Rules of Engagement


A two-day, 20-hour immersion course in rules of engagement for armed law-abiding private citizens, emphasizing legal issues, tactical issues, and aftermath management. Topics will include interacting with suspects, witnesses, responding police officers…threat recognition and mind-set…management of social and psychological aftermath after having had to use lethal force in defense of self or others…and preparing beforehand for legal repercussions and minimizing exposure to them. Situations in the home, at the place of business, or “on the street” will all be covered.

  2. Course Date:  22 – 23 June, 2019.  Class hours are from 0830 – 1800 each day.  Arrival time is 0800 on the first day to be checked in.  Conference room doors will be closed at 0830.
  3. Due to the nature of instruction, it is necessary to provide us with one of the following with your registration:
    1. Current State Issued Permit to carry a concealed handgun
    2. Current FFL – Federal Firearms License
    3. Current Police or Military ID
    4. CURRENT California DOJ COE (Certificate of Eligibility)
    5. Other proof of clean criminal record (e.g. letter of good standing from local Sherriff).
      * Documentation / identification must be scanned or photographed and emailed to, AT  THE TIME OF REGISTRATION, no exceptions.  Ensure your eligibility is valid through the date of the course, and bring it to class.  We reserve the right to verify credentials at the time of course check in.
  1. Full payment is required with registration. Our courses fill rapidly please register as early as you are able. Cancellation must be 30 days prior to the first day of class to qualify for a refund. Refund deadline is 21 May 2019, 1800 HRS PST.
  2. Please bring your own lunches, snacks, beverages etc. We have a “working lunch” in all classes. Also remember that many of our classes are 10 hour days so if you need another meal in that amount of time please bring it.  Bring water; while we do provide water at all of our locations, it never hurts to bring some more. We teach in many locations and cannot guarantee the comfort of the chairs, if that might be an issue for you feel free to bring a cushion to sit on (We like this one).
  3. This is a classroom only period of instruction. Lawfully carried concealed weapons are allowed, but there is no handling of weapons at any time during the course.
  4. Bring note taking materials. Laptop recommended, (you may also want to bring an extension cord/power strip) Audio / video recording of the class is not allowed.
  5. A certificate of completion is provided upon graduation.
